El Paso, Texas Milestone Photographer | Journey into Photography

Everyone starts somewhere and two years ago was when I began my journey into portrait photography. I was extremely hesitant on posting these as they are no where near what I’m shooting today, but I decided to proceed so you can see all the time and work I have put into learning the best shooting and posing techniques. You’re allowed to laugh (but just don’t tell me about it).

These were taken in a studio apartment I had lived in back then, so it’s exciting to know that I have grown to the point of having my own studio space. I’m almost 100% all of the props in both photos are from the dollar tree. Don’t get me wrong the dollar tree is extremely convenient, but the props were a little gimmicky. I also had considered re-editing these, but that wouldn’t be fair. I want you to take in and see how A) I wasn’t very consistent and B) How non-edited they actually look and C) Look how unfocused they are. At the time I thought these were the best pictures ever, good thing I’ve learned and worked to not draw up images like this anymore.

In the future I would like to become a mentor of my own. I would like to pass my knowledge down to an aspiring up and coming photographer, but for now I still have much to learn.
