This may be your first child, or possibly your last so I’m here to tell you why booking a session is the best thing you can do. Even if it is not your first rodeo motherhood is a new experience each and every time. Not every pregnancy is the same, for example, in my case my son was easy. No symptoms, no problems, shoot even when I got to the hospital the day of my baby shower (he was born at 37 weeks) I was already 9cm dilated. I never really got big with him either I just looked like I had too many tacos. However, with my baby girl I had awful morning sickness, heart burn, and just a lot of complications. I did get an actual pregnancy belly with her, but didn’t have a chance for pictures as she came out at 31 weeks.
Do I regret it? Yes! For both pregnancies. My first I kept saying well I’m not really showing it doesn’t matter, but it did. Then my next I definitely kept putting it off and never even got the chance (the picture on this blog post is realistically the only one I have) Maternity pictures are a crucial part that documents the entrance into motherhood and a different life. You’re pregnant for 9 months and then you have a newborn. If you’re fortunate enough to get leave you spend the next few months bonding with your little one. Did you know after 2 months your baby isn’t considered a newborn anymore? So before you even return to work you have an infant! Time passes fast and they grow out of that phase quickly which is the cutest and most gentle phase they will probably have. Then from there the list goes on and on until you’re celebrating their high school graduation. I want to be there for all of those important milestones and capture photos that’ll be cherished a lifetime.
I’m a person just like you too! So my studio is setup to be comfortable and home like. I’ve invested thousands of hours on newborn education, so I guarantee your baby will be in great hands. Also, each session is tailored to you and set out to be a unique and memorable time for the both of us.
