Traveling for a Newborn Session | Baby Boy Tamayo in El Paso

Lydiana and Oscar had traveled over 2 hours to have their sweet boy photographed. They were worried I wasn't going to be able to photograph him since he was an older new born, but I told them not to worry at all. TYpically newborns are between the ages of 5 and 14 days old, but don't be discouraged! The reason this is normally done is because babies tend to be sleepier and more flexible around this age which can make it easier to pose and swaddle them. However, if your baby is not at this age, no fear! It is still completely doable and I still will do whatever it takes to try and get you that dream session. Most of our sessions are baby led, so we only do what the baby is up to as we don't want to try to force them into anything. This little man did not like being swaddled and probably was the strongest baby I have encountered! We finally got him settled and swaddled and got some good sleeping shots. We also got some awake shots which were beautiful as his eyes were gleaming. There color palette that they chose was blue and green and I was happy to incorporate both of those colors into the session. It was great to have this family in the studio!

Don't forget it is never too early to book your newborn sessions! Also, ask us about bundling your newborn session and maternity one! I have less than 10 session spots available for the rest of 2021 so don't miss out. My calendar is also open through March 2022 and the early bird always gets the worm!
